Precautions For Use The 16V PPTC PTC Fuse
1) Welding: During welding, it should be noted that PTC thermistors should not be damaged by excessive heating, which will cause the change of resistance value under severe lead welding conditions. It is recommended to carry out test confirmation first under high temperature and long time welding conditions.
2) Coating and others: When coating PTC thermistors, the materials must be chemically neutral and shall not exceed the upper limit temperature of 120℃ of PTC thermistors during curing, otherwise resistance changes and loss of electrical properties will be caused. It is not allowed to apply external force, such as binding, on the body part of PTC element. Please make special requests to us.
3) Cleaning: Some cleaning agents may damage the performance of thermistors, it is best to test or consult our company before cleaning.
4) Storage conditions and period: If properly stored, there is no time limit for the storage period of PTC thermistors. In order to maintain the weldability of PTC thermistors, storage should be carried out in an atmosphere free from erosion, and attention should be paid to air humidity, temperature and container materials.Components should be stored as far as possible in their original packaging. Contact with the metal cladding of an unwelded PTC thermistor may result in reduced weldability. Some specifications may change when exposed to excessive moisture or temperature, such as solderability of tin lead, but can be stored for a long time under normal storage conditions of electrical components.
5) Precautions: In order to avoid the failure/short circuit/burning out of PTC thermistor, special attention should be paid to the following matters when using PTC thermistor:
Do not use (test) PTC thermistors in oil or water or in flammable or explosive gases.
Do not use PTC thermistors beyond "maximum operating current" or "maximum operating voltage".
