Product Use
 
TP1 series protector is a double-pole single-throw switch. Usually its operating temperature range is 60∽160℃; it has two contact configurations of normally open and normally closed; it has the characteristics of small size, fast temperature sensing, sensitive action, safety and reliability, long life, and sensitivity to overheating and overcurrent. Widely used in overheating protection and temperature control of fractional horsepower motors, electric heating appliances, fluorescent lamp ballasts, transformers, automobile motors, integrated circuits and general electrical equipment.

Product performance meets standards: DIN EN60730-1, DIN EN60730-2-2, UL2111-1997, GB/T14536.10-2000.
 
Product Specifications and Contact Configuration
The protector has two specifications: 2.5A/AC250V and 10A/AC250V; among them, 2.5A has two contact configurations of normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO); and 10A has only one of normally closed.
 
Contact Resistance
The contact resistance of the protector should be less than 50mΩ when it is turned on at room temperature.
 
Insulation Resistance
a. Under normal conditions, the insulation resistance between the lead (terminal) and the housing insulator is above 100MΩ. (DC500V)
b. The insulation resistance between the contacts after thermal break is above 2MΩ.

 
Electric Strength
a. The protector should be able to withstand AC720V (leakage current 5mA) between the contacts after thermal breaking for 1 min without flashover;                                                                                                                                                                        b. The protector lead (terminal) and the insulating sleeve can withstand AC1500V ( Leakage current 5mA), lasted 1min without breakdown flashover phenomenon.
